Our office has always utilized personal protective equipment (PPE) that has exceeded all CDC guidelines. However, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic we have instituted additional protocols to ensure your safety. In addition to our extensive infection control training, here are some of the enhanced precautions we are taking to protect you. We will be smiling under our masks when we greet you, and we hope you will be too!
Also, we will:
- Connect with you 2-3 days before your visit for a convenient health screening.
- Guide you from your car directly to the treatment room, just call or text when you arrive.
- Limit interaction in the office so we can keep our focus on you.
- Provide clear plexiglass shields in the greeting area for your protection.
- Continue responsible hand hygiene throughout the day for staff and patients.
- Provide an oral pre-rinse for you. It’s refreshing and limits germ transmission.
- Take the temperature and lung efficiency of our staff daily, and we will take yours too.
- Help with payment arrangements in advance to allow a low contact exit from the appointment (we now have the option of making payments on-line!).
- Enhance our clinical disinfection procedures for all surfaces between visits.
- Have continuous ambient air management to remove germs from circulating air.
- Have non-toxic UV air and surface decontamination protocols.
- Have upgraded visors, masks and gowns. Safer for you, and we look great!
- Continue to use high volume suction to reduce aerosols by 90-98%.
- Complete nightly fogging procedures to disinfect all surfaces and fixtures in the office.
- Add teledentistry services for follow-up and communication that can be done online.
